Date: Saturday 09th March 2013 @ 4:30pm
Venue: Clonbonny
Final Score: Rathcline 2:10, St.Mary's Granard 0:11

There was a successful start to the 2013 season as Joe Rooney's Intermediate League team picked up where they left off last year. This was a hard fought victory in Clonbonny over one the potential winners of the competition - St. Mary's Granard.
The two Rathcline goals proved decisive in outcome of the game; the first of which came from James Hanley with good support work from Joey (1st half) and the second by Fiachra Beirne in the (2nd half).
There were some fantastic passages of play by our lads leading to some great scores most notably Colin Fayne, Fiachra, Kevin Chapman, Michael, James & Kevin Hanley.
Our defense was very steady through out the game with nothing too awkward for David Mullvihill to deal with. There was a good blend of youth and experience which bodes well for the rest of the campaign.
Thanks to lads who turned out in numbers for the match and hopefully we can keep the momentum going into our next game on Monday 18th March vs. St. Columbas (away).
