Rathcline GAA Club Notes 27th April 2014

posted 27 Apr 2014, 14:28 by Rathcline Public Relations Officer

With less than two weeks to go we would encourage as many people as possible to get involved in our Croagh Patrick challenge. The climb will take place on Saturday May 10th and sponsorship cards are available from any executive member.  This has proved to be a great occasion in the last few years with old and young all successfully and proudly completing the climb. It has also become a great social occasion with different members of the community gathering together in Westport on the night. Join our challenge and feel on top of the world! Accommodation for the night is available in the Harbour Mill apartments at €45 per person with payment upfront on booking. Please contact Lorraine Farrell on (087) 6827966 to book your place.

Well done to the lads on their victory over Moydow Harpers in league division 2 on Saturday evening.  The game finished with a scoreline of 4-10 to 2-06 in favour of Rathcline. Next up for the lads is a home game this Friday evening May 2nd against Kenagh at 8pm in Clonbonny. We would urge people to come out and support the lads in their quest for another victory.

There was no winner of our weekly lotto jackpot of €1400. The winning numbers were 2, 3, 5, 14, 24, and 41. The four €25 winners were Patrick McGrath – Keel, Moydow, Alan Fayne – Cullentra, Lanesboro, Brian Scally – Gardenstown, Lanesboro and Mike Greene – The Green, Lanesboro. Next week’s jackpot will be €1500.
