Congratulations to Paddy Kelly, Cullentra, who was last Monday’s winner of €562 in our 50/50 draw. 2nd prize of the Christmas hamper went to Joe Rooney, Rathcline, and 3rd prize of a €25 voucher for Terry’s butchers went to Joe Coghlan, Bornacor. Thanks to everyone who bought envelopes to make it the most successful draw so far. The draw takes place every Monday night and envelopes only cost €2.

The New Year’s draw will take place on Saturday January 31st in Adies. Prizes are as follows: 1st prize - 1500, 2nd prize - €750, 3rd prize €500, 4th prize €250, 5th prize €200, 6th prize €200, 7th prize €200 and 8th prize €200. Tickets cost €10 and are available from any member of the executive.

The first round of the U21 Hastings Cup between Longford and Galway will take place at 2pm in Clonbonny on Saturday January 3rd. With this being the start of the football season it would be great to see a large crowd turn out in Clonbonny to support Longford.

Membership is now due for the coming year. Players’ registration fee is €50 and non-playing members is €20. Players are asked to pay their registration to Brendan Rhatigan or James Hanley. Player registration is compulsory and players must be registered before they can play. Non playing members can pay their fee to Peter Skelly or Denis Crinigan.

The minor club will hold another EGM on Saturday January 3rd 2015 at 6pm in the clubhouse. It is imperative that the club form a new executive as all current executive members will be standing down. We again urge all parents and grandparents who have children from the ages of 4 to 18 to attend.

Finally we would like to wish everyone a happy and prosperous new year. Here’s to success in the Intermediate championship, at minor level and for the ladies in 2015. Let’s hope it’s a winning year that won’t be forgotten on all fronts!
