Christmas Draw: The club would like to thank everyone that supported our annual Christmas draw making it a one of the best ever – we really appreciate your great support. The draw was an outstanding success and there was an exceptional effort made by so many sellers and the club really appreciates what you did.

The prizes were won by the following 1st € 3,000 Mark and David Reynolds c/o Doyle’s Longford, 2nd €1,000 Jean Mc Dermott, Killashee, 3rd€500 Sean Skelly, Newtowncashel,

4th €250 Joe Fallon/Padraig Brewster, 5th €250 Barry Clarke, 6th €200 Johnny and Wayne c/o Yacht Bar and 7th €200 Cathal Mulvihill Newtowncashel.

On Monday night 18th December the 50/50 pool stood at €280 and the winning envelope drawn in the Clarke’s Bar was Caroline Cullen, Rathcline Road.

On Tuesday 26th December the draw took place in Adie’s bar. The total pool amounted to €400 and the lucky envelope drawn was in the name of Olive Ginty, Ballyleague.

The third draw over the Christmas took place on Monday 1st January in the Peer Inn, Lisnacusha. The pool last week amounted to €260 and the winning envelope belonged to Patricia Brady, Church View

The onus is on everyone in the club minor club and senior club, players and parents to come together and sell just 5 tickets each at their work places and make this draw a really substantial amount each week. This draw has the potential at only €2 a ticket to be a big boost to the winner each week if we really put our shoulder to the wheel. Let’s make Monday night a night to look forward to each week for the coming year.

Rathcline wish everyone the very best for a happy and healthy 2018 and look forward to your support.

County team

Presently the county senior team under the guidance of team manager Denis Connerton are going very well in the O’Byrne Cup. While two of our panellists Liam Connerton and Shane Kenny are out injured it is great to see Shane Donohoe flying the club flag. We wish all the lads the very best for the coming season.

The club AGM will take place in early February and we would encourage everyone that has an interest in the club to put their thoughts and ideas together, bring them to the meeting and help drive the club forward in a major way in 2018.
