- Membership
Membership of the club is now open and we would earnestly ask everyone to become a member of the club. The membership is €20 for general members and €50 for playing membership. Peter Skelly and Denis Crinigan are the registrars and they will accept and receipt your membership.
Brendan Rhatigan is the registrar for the players and all players are asked to meet with Brendan as soon as possible.
We would encourage everyone in the parish to become a member of the Rathcline club. Your membership will be acknowledged as a huge boost to the club and it will also entitle you to be part of what we hope will be a strong and vibrant club in the coming months ahead.

- Defibrillator Training
It is essential that we have people competent in the use of the defibrillator at the club grounds at all times during games and training. We would encourage parents and supporters to register for the upcoming Defibrillator training course. As we all remember from a few seasons back the value of the defibrillator and someone with the knowledge of its use so it is important that we have people available in Clonbonny for all our games fully up to speed with its use. You completing in the training can be a matter of life and death hence the need to ask you to sign up. Register your name with Joe or Martina O’Brien

- 50/50
On Monday night 27th February, the 50/50 draw took place in the Per Inn, Lisnacusha. The Rathcline 50/50 draw winner was Eugene Hester, Knock. Eugene was continuing they lucky family streak with Rathcline GAA draws as his wife Celine won the Christmas draw and was also a previous winner of the 50/50. Eugene was the winner of €381.
The club thanks every one of you for your continued support and your support means that we have a healthy winning amount every week. If you have not yet taken part in the draw we would encourage you to do so and help boost the winning prizemoney and support the Rathcline club and who knows it may be you next week.
Blue weekly tickets €2 each are on sale in all local businesses and yearly pink tickets are also available costing €100.

The club has entered two competitions and it will also take part in the junior championship later in the season. We are asking every player past and present to contact Kevin Hanley or any of his team management or Chairman Liam or Secretary Cathal on his intention to turnout and create a wonderful spirit in the club. There are a lot of players that in recent time that have retired or have pulled away for one reason or the other and we would love to welcome them back for a bit of fun on the playing field.

- Punchestown: The trip to Punchestown is a great day out for Longford Football. This year we hope that we can gain support from all local racing aficionados and those interested in a great social day out to the Annual Punchestown Festival on Wednesday 26th April 2017 in support of Longford GAA. Rathcline will be entering its usual table and we are looking for support and we hope that we can fill 2 tables -20 people. Anyone interested should contact Liam Connerton, Albert Cooney, Gerard Farrell or Cathal Chapman.

- Congratulations to Shane Kenny, Kevin Sorohan and their Longford U21 team mates and management on a fabulous victory over Kildare in the Leinster Championship on Wednesday last in Newbridge. It was also great to see so many Rathcline people in the attendance. The U21’s will now take on Dublin in the Leinster semi-final on Wednesday 22nd March in the St. Loman’s club grounds Mullingar. We wish Shane Kenny a speedy recovery from the injury sustained during the game.

- Many thanks to Joe Rooney who sponsored two footballs for the senior team. The club is deeply appreciates any sponsorship forthcoming in getting our teams off the ground this year. If you can help please do.

- Pitch Closed: The adverse weather conditions has forced the senior club to close the Prunty pitch until further notice. We ask all teams in the parish to respect the prohibition and give our main playing pitch a chance to recover after the torrential rain over the last weeks. We apologise for any inconvenience
