posted 5 Jul 2016, 13:06 by Rathcline Public Relations Officer

The day for the Rathcline Race Day at the famous Galway Races is nearly upon us. The club will be travelling on Monday 25th July and we would love to have you along with us sharing a wonderful evening out amongst friends. The cost of the evening is €110 and for that you receive free admission as well as a race card, free parking, a seating and viewing area located in the new Killanin stand overlooking the finishing line with spectacular views, there will be tipsters in the Pavilion, tote facilities, a beautiful 4 course meal, €5 drink voucher, there will be an opportunity to be declared the Best Dressed Lady and there will be after meal entertainment.

This is a wonderful opportunity for men and women to dress up and have a most fabulous evening out at the legendary Galway Racing taking in all the thrills and spills of racing and hopefully backing many winners. To book your place contact Caroline Ginty 087-6224810, Stephen Rooney086-3176301 or Mickie Farrell 086-8509820.

Thank you: The cub would like to thank everyone that that helped organise and participated in the Rathcline 5k last Saturday. Former player Mark Kenny was the first man home and Andree Gallagher took the accolade of being first lady home.

The 50/50 last week was won by Bernadette Gillen who was the recipient of €343.

The club would like to thank everyone that contributes for their support and encourage everyone not yet putting their €2 in the envelope weekly or €100 in the pink envelope for a yearly subscription to do so.

It was great to go to Clonbonny on Thursday last and find the place a real hive of activity. Granted we did not get the result we sought but when you see the U12 players on the Juvenile pitch and the minors on the main pitch giving their all what more can you ask for. It was a great evening for everyone supporting both teams to see the future is bright and getting brighter. Well done to all players and their mentors.

The minor cub will hold a Table Quiz on Friday 29th July. The venue and details will follow next week. We urge everyone to make a date in their diary and come along and support us.
