Rathcline Club Notes 3rd April 2016

posted 10 Apr 2016, 14:49 by Rathcline Public Relations Officer

On Saturday last our Reserve League team were scheduled to travel to Killashee but owing to the Killashee pitch being unplayable the game was transferred to Clonbonny. It was not a good day on the pitch for our lads especially after the previous week’s great performance. Killashee ran out comprehensive winners.

The Leader Cup Division 1 resumes on Friday evening next when our lads travel to play Clonguish in Newtownforbes for the second round of the league at 8.30pm. It is very important that every player is in the dressing room in good time. We expect a great performance from the team as there is no doubt we have the ability. We hope for a great turnout of supporters to cheer the lads on.

The 50/50 draw took place Monday night 28th March in the Yacht Bar and the winner of the draw was Chloe Hopkins, Newpark. Chloe was the lucky winner of €428. As you may have noticed the weekly prizemoney in the rise and club encourages greater support as they hope in the very near future to have the prize weekly at €500 and more. It is down to your support and club is deeply grateful to everyone that continues to support the draw weekly. The next draw takes place on Monday 11th April in Adie’s

The Minor section of the club held an under8, 10 12 blitz in Clonbonny on Saturday last. There was a great turnout of young people both boys and girls in Clonbonny having an absolutely wonderful time. It was great to see so many parents in attendance as well as members of the senior panel.

The club is open to every young boy and girls in our community and we would like to encourage and welcome all young people and their parents to Clonbonny on any occasion.

Our U14 Div. 1 team will play Northern Gaels this Tuesday in the Laurels at 7pm and our U14 Div. 3 team will play St. Dominick’s in Kenagh on Friday at 7pm.

Our U16 team will take on Clonguish Óg in Dunbeggan on Friday at 7pm.
