Final replay

Following the previous week’s drawn game it was back to Pearse Park for the replay of the Minor Football League Final on Wednesday evening and another tussle with Northern Gaels. The game was in direct comparison to the drawn game where Northern Gaels provided a storming finish to draw the game. This time our lads found themselves well back but in fairness to their fighting spirit they never gave in and were rewarded with a rousing 6-8 to 3-13 victory. It was a fabulous victory for the team especially when the victory was over one of the most iconic club over the past number of years. A very well done to all the players and their team management on their magnificent win

Trip to Croke Park

Sunday last a number of our minors gathered to make the trip to the All-Ireland semi-final between Dublin and Tyrone. The trip had the added bonus of the U17 All-Ireland Final where a number of the players were able to support their class and schoolmate Michéal O’ Donnell who was playing with the Roscommon U17’s. It was a fabulous occasion for our young players and their dream coming home was to go back in time to come with club and county and bring home a title.
