posted 27 Feb 2017, 12:07 by Rathcline Public Relations Officer

50/50

On Monday night 19th February, the 50/50 draw took place in Clarke’s Bar. The Rathcline 50/50 draw winner was Louis Mullooly, Lehery. Louis was the winner of the biggest pool so far in 2017 it amounted to €450.

The club thanks every one of you for your growing support. Blue weekly tickets are on sale in all local businesses and yearly pink tickets are also available costing €100.

If anyone knows any young potential applicants, can you please pass on this information.

Garda Vetting

An action from the last Executive meeting was to ensure all personnel involved with the Rathcline Senior and Shannon Gaels will need to be E-Vetted per the up to date GAA guidelines.

My understanding is that everyone involved with Minor Club has completed this task. There may be still a few members in the Senior administration who have yet to complete this task.

The following link will redirect you to the criteria around vetting and also the appropriate link to complete the E-Vetting task. The criteria in the link below outlines a three-step application process.

Any supporting information (identifications etc.) should be sent to Brid O' Reilly at the following email address: brid.oreilly75@gmail.com

Good Luck

We would like to wish Shane Kenny and Kevin Sorohan and the Longford U21 team and management the very best of luck in the 1st round of the Leinster U21 championship when they take on Kildare in Hawkfield, Newbridge.

Membership

Membership of the club is now open and we would earnestly ask everyone to become a member of the club. The membership is €20 for general members and €50 for playing membership. Peter Skelly and Denis Crinigan are the registrars and they will accept and receipt your membership.

Brendan Rhatigan is the registrar for the players and all players are asked to meet with Brendan as soon as possible.

Defibrillator Training

It is essential that we have people competent in the use of the defibrillator at the club grounds at all times during games and training. We would encourage parents and supporters to register for the upcoming Defibrillator training course. As we all remember from a few seasons back the value of the defibrillator and someone with the knowledge of its use so it is important that we have people available in Clonbonny for all our games fully up to speed with its use. You completing in the training can be a matter of life and death hence the need to ask you to sign up. Register your name with Joe or Martina O’Brien

Shannon Gaels

The Strength and Conditioning under the guidance of Joey Horgan is proving to be a great success with big numbers attending. The minors and U16s will return to training under Joey on Friday night next. The U14 indoor training in the Hall on Friday nights is also attracting great numbers. Thanks to all parents and young people for their efforts.

Parents are asked to take heed and act upon the Gaeltacht notification included in the notes above if they interested in receiving Gaeltacht grant.
