Congratulations from all at Rathcline to the Longford team who defeated Derry at weekend. A memorable performance and one that puts the pride back into the many gaa fans in Longford. We hope that this is the first ...of many wins for the blue and gold this summer.
With the world cup underway so to, are our €2 euro scratch cards for the final in July. A fundraiser for the club it gives the chance for someone to win €500. An exact time is given on each scratch card for the time of the first goal. Please support this initiative, cards can be bought from businesses in Lanesboro and from any executive member.
There was no jackpot winner in the Clubs lotto draw. Numbers were 1,9,16,17,34, and 45. The €25 winners were Mark Casey Lehery, Diarmuid O Sullivan Lehery, M&N Nolan Motors Newtownforbes, and Patricia Skelly Sutton, Dublin.
Our sympathy goes to the Hopkins family in Cashel on the passing of Peter Hopkins. May he rest in peace.
Congrats to the Donlon family Lisreevagh on the marriage of Jenny, daughter of Peter and Geraldine to Niall Smith at the weekend.

Well done to the U 12 team who defeated Grattans in the league. The minors are playing Northern Gaels in the Laurels and they also play Clonguish in Clonbonny on Friday night. Your support would be appreciated.
The U 8’s were playing football in Ballymahon last Wednesday night. Well done to all who participated.
Just a quick note for the Gathering weekend on August bank holiday, the Minor club are hosting a mass where minor players and club members will participate in the choir under the guidance of Tracey Tobin. The club are also hosting a sports day/evening out in Clonbonny on the Friday night of that weekend.

Rathcline Ladies
The U 16 ladies team do battle against Ballymahon this week. There is no definite venue or time as yet. Supporters are asked to check the fixture list. This promises to be a fantastic match as the ladies team at underage level have worked very hard over the years. We wish the team and management the very best in the semi-final.
