Rathcline Club Notes 18th December 2017

Christmas Draw: We are looking forward to the local community and club people far and wide to buy tickets for the annual Christmas draw. This draw is so vital to the early stages of the club year as there are insurance and affiliation fees to be paid to allow entry into competitions. The draw will take place on Friday 29th December in Adie’s Bar.

Tickets are priced €20 each and it will make a great Christmas gift. The prize structure is 1st €3000, 2nd €1000, 3rd €500, 4th €250, 5th €250. 6th€200 and 7th €200.

50/50

Monday night last 12th December the 50/50 pool stood at €312 and the winning drawn in the Peer Inn, Lisnacusha was Bridie Nolan, Carrickmoran, Newtowncashel. Tickets are on sale locally at €2 each. Alternatively, you can by the pink ticket for the year for just €100 and have 2 free weeks. The club would like to thank everyone that continues to support the draw on a weekly basis and also the many people that buy the one-year ticket. Your support is much appreciated.

Happy Christmas: Over the past year on the field we had great success winning the Intermediate Championship and been narrowly beaten in U21 Championship and Patsy Reilly Cup.

We had successful fundraising events where you all supported us so generously. We thank you dearly for all your support. The club is moving forward and with your continued we can begin to flourish once again.

The senior and minor club would like wish everyone a very Happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year.

Get Well: Presently, a number of great supporters of the Rathcline are hospitalised or recuperating from an illness. The club would like to wish them well for a speedy recovery and we look forward to seeing them out and about in the near future.

Western Gaels Draw: The results of the Western Gaels draw held last weekend are: 1st Hamper: Michael Kajun, 2nd Turkey: Bríd Gordon, 3rdHam: Carrie Casey, 4th Cake: Luke Dowd, 5th Whiskey: Betty Murphy, 6th Wine: Kevin Farrell, 7th Wine: Georgina Hand, and 8th Sweets: Charlie Finn.
