posted 26 Jul 2017, 04:42 by Rathcline Public Relations Officer

* Championship on Friday

Friday night next is the biggest night of the year so far for our Intermediate team when we travel to Kenagh to play Cashel in the 1st round of the Intermediate Championship. The team have prepared well under the guidance of Kevin Hanley and we look forward to making a winning start against our old adversities Cashel.
We urge everyone to come along and support the team as they bid to regain their Senior status once more.

* Sympathy

The club would like to extend their deepest sympathy the Gill family Rathcline Road on the death of Albert Gill.

The club would like to extend their deepest sympathy to Mike and Tom Greene and their extended families on the death of their brother Henry in England last week.

* Keane’s Sponsored Race Day

The Bernard Keane sponsored Race Day to the Galway Races this year has been a phenomenal success with booking no longer being taken due to the incredible uptake in bookings. Such is the demand that we could have more than doubled the number for what is becoming the event of the year for Lanesboro people, their friends and Rathcline supporters. The ‘Race Day’ creates a wonderful atmosphere and people get the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful day in a leisurely and relaxed environment.

* 50/50

Monday night last 10th July the 50/50 took place in Clarkes Bar. The winning pool amounted to €354 and the winners was Albert Cooney, Lehery. The club would like to congratulate Albert on his great win and thank him for his support and we would like to thank everyone that continue to buy tickets for their great support.

Tickets are on sale locally at €2 each and your support will be greatly appreciated. Alternatively, you can by the pink ticket for the year for just €100 and have 2 free weeks
