Congratulations to the Co Longford Minor team, under the stewardship of Gareth Johnston, on winning the league final against Offaly on Saturday. Clonbonny hosted the game and special thanks to all club members who helped out with all the logistics of preparing the pitch and facilities. The score at half time was 1 – 4 to 5 pts to Longford. The Longford team who were very well set up won the game on a score line of 2-8 to 1-7. A special day for the County, and also, our own Rathcline men, Gareth Johnston and Shane Kenny. We look forward to an exciting season to come from the minor team.

Intermediate training continues midweek, it’s important that everyone makes an effort to attend with reserve league football just around the corner.

A reminder that, with the reserve league football nearly upon us, registration is due. We would urge all members and players to pay their registration as soon as possible

Minor Club

All our underage teams are out training at the moment, competitive matches are taking place very soon. The minors and U 16’s are out in two weeks times and the U 14’s are in the Feile competition this weekend. Best of luck to management and teams at all levels.

The very best of luck to Tracy Tobin on Saturday night, Tracy represents the club and parish in Birr, in the Leinster semi final of the Scor competiton.
